Dean graduated from Vanderbilt University School of Law in 1978 after
graduating magna cum laude from Duke University in 1975. He was admitted
to the Tennessee Bar in 1978 and to the Ohio Bar in 1981. He has been
practicing labor and employment law for over twenty-five years.
Dean's practice is focused on the representation of employers in
employment related litigation, labor contract negotiations and
administration, grievance arbitration, breach of employment contract
matters, employment discrimination claims, OSHA matters, and wage and
hour compliance, as well as litigation and administrative practice
before government agencies including the NLRB, EEOC and OCRC. Dean
regularly represents clients in the private and public sectors,
including the food service industry, health care facilities and a
variety of other employers in the service, construction and
manufacturing industries.
Dean is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Supreme
Court of Ohio, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern
Districts of Ohio, Middle District of Tennessee and District of Arizona,
as well as the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Sixth, Eighth and Tenth
Circuits. He is a member of the Labor and Employment Law Sections of the
American and Ohio State Bar Associations.<
