Lisa is Certified by the Ohio State Bar Association as a Specialist in Labor and Employment Law. Lisa manages all aspects of employment litigation on behalf of employers in both state and federal courts, including claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful discharge, retaliation, breach of contract and related tort claims. Lisa also routinely counsels employers on a wide array of day-to-day employment law issues, particularly ADA and FMLA compliance. In addition, Lisa develops policies and procedures and provides extensive management training to ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws, often in the areas of ADA and FMLA administration and preventing and investigating sexual harassment. Lisa also regularly handles labor arbitration hearings, EEOC, OCRC and other state and federal administrative proceedings. Lisa is Editor of the kwwlaborlaw.communicator and coordinates the creation and publishing of each edition.
Lisa attended law school at Case Western Reserve University, where she received her law degree in 1993, graduating magna cum laude. Lisa is a member of the Order of the Coif and recipient of the Heiss Labor Law Award. Lisa also served as an Executive Contributing Editor to the Case Western Reserve Law Review. She received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management and Labor Relations from Cleveland State University, graduating cum laude.
Lisa is a Master of the Bench in the Cleveland Employment Lawyers Inn of Court. Lisa is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Supreme Court of Ohio, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio, Western District of Michigan, District of Arizona, and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fourth, Sixth and Eighth Circuits. Lisa is a member of the Federal Bar Association and the Labor and Employment Law Sections of the Cleveland Metropolitan and Ohio State Bar Associations.
